How it Works

With the DMS 5000®, the GPS based mapping system automatically records pick-ups as the driver passes by each customer.

The on-board computer contains in-vehicle tracking, navigation and verification screens to facilitate driver activity. The data is quickly transmitted by cell modem to the back office for immediate results.

Routeware BackOffice reports detail customer, driver and dispatch activity, and also integrate seamlessly with your existing RMS system.

To get started, Routeware personnel install DMS 5000 units in each of your collection vehicles: roll-off, commercial front loader, residential recycling, and residential automated (side loader).

Then, Routeware installs its client/server application, Routeware BackOffice, on your network via dedicated server. The server contains the following Routeware BackOffice components:

Finally, Routeware BackOffice Client is installed on each office computer that requires access to the data. All of these steps, including driver, office staff, and management training, is implemented by Routeware staff in conjunction with a team from your company. This partnering helps ensure a smooth and successful installation.
